I recently saw a bumper sticker that said "What Would Jesus Do?" On their back window they had a sticker that said "Obama Sucks." So, these people think Jesus thinks Obama sucks or they just think Obama sucks. I love how when it comes to religion people pick and choose what they want to believe. In this person's case I am sure they are against abortion, but love thy neighbor is something they choose to ignore. Why bother with being religious if you are not going to stick to what your religion says to believe?
I suppose people think they are going to try to get better and eventually they are going to be "good Christian" people. But, If you will not accept the world and its people as they are and you are constantly bashing everyone who does not share in your beliefs are you really a "good Chrisitan" person? I am getting sick of people who claim to be good, but in reality they are not. It is getting very frustrating to deal with these contradictions in people. They say one thing, but then do another.
Well, I really understand you, and the same thing bothers me to. Even though I am a Muslim, in my country people who believe in same religious that I also believe in do not see me as a Muslim, since I do not do what they do to be a good Muslim. I do not know if this would make sense for you, but I can understand the people you mentioned in your post, and I can understand their approach to other people especially the ones how do not support what they believe in.
